Dear Parents & Students of Beyond Words Dance Center,

Our staff would like to extend our gratitude for your patience and support since announcing we would be closing our physical studio for the foreseeable future. We have a responsibility to do our part in mitigating the risk of COVID-19 spreading throughout our community, and the safety of our dance families is our first priority.

We need to be able to adapt in difficult times. While this will impact our classes inside the studio, we will continue to deliver the same quality dance experience that you know and love at Beyond Words- just in a slightly different way.

Now more than ever, it's crucial for your child to have normalcy, routine, and EXERCISE! While it can be fun to play video games and watch movies, we need our children to be active, move, use their mind and still be able to interact socially with their peers.

It is our goal to provide your child with an immersive, fun, and challenging dance experience during the closure of our physical location. With the help of technology, we will be opening our digital doors and provide you with BEYOND THE STUDIO- an online dance experience designed to keep our dancers moving, learning, interacting with their friends, and having fun until we can return to hosting classes at our facility.

Here’s what you need to know about BEYOND THE STUDIO:

Each individual recreational class will have its own Dropbox folder to which only enrolled families will have access. Please DO NOT share your access or YouTube links with anyone as they have been created uniquely for each dancer enrolled in their specific classes at Beyond Words.

On a weekly basis, we will be adding digital content- including how-to videos and encouragement from the instructors- to your class’ folder. This way, your dancer is able to learn and review when most convenient for your family! Your dancer can even practice their skills or recital dance multiple times a week with the ability to pause and rewind. Your folder will be updated on Monday morning for each week of remote learning.

Please note: Go Beyond Performance Group tiers will have their own folders and content provided by Miss Megan. Further instruction and details will be given later today.

Each week, we’ll also be adding some bonuses for your dancer to keep them busy and active during this time:

· Free Livestreamed class invitations

· Beyond Words-themed puzzles and coloring pages

· Weekly social media challenges

· …and more!

Teachers may schedule a ZOOM meeting check-in to live stream with a particular class. This is a great learning tool for teachers to answer any questions and engage in a live interaction with students. Just check your folder on Monday to stay up to date for that week’s lesson plan! If your instructor chooses to schedule a ZOOM class meeting, we will include step-by-step instruction for this user-friendly app.

We have found ourselves in a new normal and we are committed to offering you the best customer service and dance experience during this time. As this situation is fluid and continues to change, we will be sure to keep you up to date with any changes in our curriculum or scheduled events. For now, we are still planning on holding our year-end recitals that our dancers have been working so hard on. We are fortunate to host our recitals in-house and are willing to adapt to whatever regulations may be implemented in the future. Thank you for your patience as we all continue to navigate through these uncertain times.
